Through our diligent efforts to provide our customers with the highest quality, we have achieved excellent results in recent years. Our company Pierburg s.r.o. has been recognized by some customers with supplier awards and regional awards such as “Štika Ústí nad Labem”, GM Supplier Quality Excellence, Caterpillar Supplier Excellence Process, Ford Quality Status Q and others.
Pierburg and EFQM
The EFQM Excellence Model is a globally recognized management framework that we use to objectively measure our performance and continuously improve. For us at Pierburg, it's not just about points, but about holding up a mirror – it helps us see where we are strong and where we have room for growth. Our assessment is based on the current EFQM model, which has changed significantly from older versions. Instead of merely checking processes, it now focuses on three key areas that form a logical whole in the management of a modern company:
This section evaluates our vision, mission and strategy. It explores how our leadership sets the culture of the organization and how we inspire innovation. It's not just about having a plan, it's about making sure everyone understands him and believes him.
Here the execution itself is evaluated. How do we engage employees? How do we build relationships with customers and partners? And most importantly, how effectively we transform our resources into sustainable value. Flexibility and responsiveness to changes in the market are key here.
This part has a lot of weight in the overall assessment. It monitors not only financial numbers, but also the perception of the company through the eyes of customers, employees and the whole company. We measure whether we are actually fulfilling what we set out to do in the “Direction”.
Our Journey to the Five Stars
The EFQM rating is a point score (theoretically max. 1000 points) and getting above 500 points is internationally considered a top result indicative of a mature corporate culture. We at Pierburg have been following this path for a long time, and our results show a clear trend of improvement.
In our historically first rating, we received 416 points (4 stars of excellence award). In 2018, we moved up to 479 points. The turning point was 2019, when we reached 5 Stars of Excellence for the first time with 538 points. So far, the last rating in 2023 brought us a record 589 points, thus we defended 5 stars and won 2nd place in the National Quality Award of the Czech Republic. Environment
Pierburg is one of the world's leading suppliers to the automotive industry, and its products make a significant contribution to reducing exhaust emissions and reducing the energy consumption of automobiles.
We strive to promote technologies and practices that are as environmentally friendly as possible and to the use of natural resources. It develops products that are low on the consumption of energy and natural resources and that put as little burden on the environment as possible. The company consistently respects and complies with the requirements of legislation and stakeholders
Parties to the protection of the environment.
We have an established and certified environmental management system according to ISO 14001 and, in addition, in accordance with Regulation No 1221/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Pierburg s.r.o. is registered in EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme).

Occupational health and safety are an integral and essential part of our corporate strategy, which focuses on long-term appreciation.
We are aware of our responsibility to our employees and care for a safe, healthy and clean working environment. We guarantee safety and health protection at work within the framework of the regulations applicable in the relevant workplaces
Energy Management
We recognize our responsibility to people and the environment.
Environmental protection and the associated economical use of energy have been an integral part of the company's management strategy for many years. The energy management system creates prerequisites that allow us to consciously control energy consumption and thus continuously improve energy performance.
The main objective of such a system is to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption, CO2 emissions and the cost of
energy.
