II. Data processing on other websites

In principle, you can visit our website without having to reveal your identity. However, if you use certain functions/areas of the website, it may be necessary to provide or collect personal data depending on the circumstances. Below we deal in more detail with individualactivities related to the processing of data on our website.


1. Website hosting/logging website visits

In order to provide our website safely and efficiently, we use the services of the web hosting provider Webflow, Inc., 398 11th Street, San Francisco, California CA 94103, USA; hereinafter referred to as “Webflow”), from whose servers the Website is accessed. For these purposes, we may use infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage and database services, as well as security and technical maintenance services provided by Webflow. In this regard, Webflow processes the data on our behalf in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Webflow's core infrastructure and data hosting is located in the United States.
When you visit our website, we or Webflow collect server access data (so-called server log files). The data collected includes:

  • IP Address
  • Date and time of your visit
  • The browser you are using (including its version)
  • The operating system you are using (including its version)
  • Which sources, e.g. subpages, you visit on our website (is recorded in the form of so-called “subpages”). URLS)


We process these server log files based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring the security and stability of the website (e.g. preventing server overload due to misuse, so called “abuse”). DDoS attacks).

Through Google Tag Manager, so-called script codes of other tools (here Google Analytics) are integrated.Tag Manager allows you to control when a particular tag is triggered (see also Section.5.2).

 

Google stores cookies on your device for up to two years after your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID by which you can recognize future visits to the website. The recorded data is stored together with a randomly generated user ID, which allows the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user data is automatically deleted after 26 months if you do not visit our website again (using marketing cookies). Other (non-personal) data remain stored in vagregated form for an indefinite period.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures in accordance with legal requirements, taking into account state-of-the-art technologies, implementation costs and the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing, as well as risks of varying likelihood and severity to the rights and freedoms of individuals, in order to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk.

These measures include, in particular, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data through the control of physical and electronic access to data, as well as access, entry, disclosure, availability and separation of data. Furthermore, we have established procedures to ensure that data subjects can exercise their rights, that data can be deleted and that they are able to respond to any data threat. In addition, when developing or selecting hardware, software, and procedures, we already consider privacy issues in accordance with the “Privacy-by-Design” and “Privacy-by-Default” policies.

SSL encryption (https): In order to properly protect your transmitted data, this website uses the so-called “SSL”. SSL encryption. You can recognize such encrypted connections by the prefix “https://” in the link to the page (URL) in the address bar of your browser. Unencrypted pages are prefixed with “http://”.

Thanks to this SSL encryption, any data that you transmit to the web page - for example in the case of queries - can not be read by third parties without significant additional effort.
